Lovi Poe lamented the situation in Los Angeles, California, amid the ongoing wildfires, as she witnessed it firsthand while staying in her United States home.

The actress showed a video in which the smoke from the wildfires as well as the helicopters flying back and forth can be seen, through her Instagram page on Monday, Jan. 13.

“The fires have hit LA hard, and it’s tough seeing so much loss. I’ve been watching the sky and hearing helicopters flying back and forth,” she said in the caption. “In times of devastation, like the one we’re witnessing, it’s hard to find the right words.”

Despite the disaster, Poe underscored how members of the community are coming together to support and show up for one another

“It’s a reminder that even in the hardest times, we’re never alone. Even in the darkest times, the city will rebuild and shine again, stronger than before,” she said.

Poe shared a separate video in which the smoke from the wildfires was seen from the road she was driving on.

Aside from Poe, Filipino celebrity Iñigo Pascual, who is based in Los Angeles, also earlier witnessed the wildfire in his area, disclosing that his family had evacuated their home.

Many Hollywood celebrities have been affected by the disaster as well, with some including Paris Hilton, Mandy Moore, Anthony Hopkins and Billy Crystal losing their homes.
